Warranty & Installation Terms and Conditions

(updated with timber protection requirement)

1. Installation Policy

All Geppetto Land playhouses and garden structures are installed by our trained team to the highest standards.
By accepting installation:

The customer confirms that the ground/base area is level, suitable, and safe.

The customer has inspected and accepted the structure at the time of handover.

A signed Installation & Handover Certificate is required to complete the installation.

Geppetto Land is not responsible for issues caused by uneven, unstable, or unsuitable ground conditions selected by the customer.

2. Customer Responsibility After Installation

After installation is completed and the handover is signed, the customer is fully responsible for:

routine maintenance,

ensuring that anchoring remains secure,

protecting the structure from strong winds or storms,

monitoring any ground movement, sinking, or soil changes,

preventing impact damage (e.g., toys, footballs, garden tools, vehicles),

any modifications, repairs, or relocation carried out by the customer or third parties.

3. Mandatory Timber Protection (Varnish/Paint)

To protect the timber and ensure long-term durability:

The customer MUST paint or varnish the entire structure within 2–3 months of installation.

This includes:

all external walls,

doors and windows,

roof edges and trims,

any exposed wooden elements.

Failure to paint or varnish the structure within the recommended timeframe will result in:

⚠️ loss of warranty,
⚠️ faster natural weathering of timber,
⚠️ potential moisture absorption, swelling, or cracking not covered by warranty.

Geppetto Land structures are delivered untreated (unless otherwise specified), and proper sealing/painting is the customer’s responsibility.

4. Weather & Wind Disclaimer

Geppetto Land structures are designed to withstand normal Irish weather conditions.
However:

⚠️ Damage caused by wind or storms is not covered under warranty.
⚠️ A structure tipping or falling over after installation is not considered a manufacturing or installation fault.

If a structure becomes unstable due to weather or ground changes, it is the customer’s responsibility to secure, reinforce, or reposition it.

5. Warranty Coverage

Our warranty includes:

manufacturing defects in materials,

structural issues,

installation faults reported on the day of installation.

The warranty does not cover:

storm or wind damage,

a structure falling over after installation,

insufficient anchoring,

changes in ground level or sinking ground,

failure to paint/varnish the structure within 2–3 months,

natural wood behaviour (cracks, knots, shrinkage, swelling),

damage caused by misuse, neglect, or relocation,

modifications done by the customer or external parties.

6. Relocating or Moving the Structure

If the customer:

lifts,

rotates,

repositions,

relocates the structure

after installation:

➡️ the warranty becomes void,
➡️ Geppetto Land is no longer responsible for stability or future damage.

7. Safety Notice

Parents/guardians must supervise children at all times.
Customers must maintain safe play conditions, including:

soft surfacing,

safe spacing around swings/slides,

regular checks of bolts, ropes, screws, and timber.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with Geppetto Land and signing the Installation & Handover Certificate, the customer confirms full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
